Building Australia's most connected SEO community

SEO Collective exists to bring Australia's search professionals together — not just to network, but to genuinely share knowledge, challenge each other's thinking, and raise the standard of our craft.

Every event is free. Every speaker is a practitioner. Every conversation is real. We don't do sales pitches, keynotes from vendors, or panels engineered for optics. We do the kind of honest, practical discussion that actually makes you better at your job.

How we operate

Built by practitioners, for practitioners

Free, always

Every event across all three cities is free to attend. Food, drinks, and a world-class keynote. No ticket fees, no paywalls.

Real knowledge sharing

Our speakers are working practitioners sharing what is actually happening in their work — not polished marketing presentations.

Community first

We encourage a mix of business owners, developers, consultants, and in-house SEOs. Everyone has something to teach and something to learn.

Run by volunteers

SEO Collective is run entirely by a volunteer board of SEO professionals who organise, host, and grow each chapter in their own time.

Venue partnerships

Our events happen because generous organisations open their doors and feed our community. We are deeply grateful to all our venue partners.

National reach

With over 4,600 members across Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, SEO Collective is the largest independently run SEO community in Australia.

Legacy lifetime members

The SEO Collective has evolved from the original Melbourne SEO Meetup, which was started by David Ivanow in 2011. Throughout the years it was run by Chris Burgess, Peter Mead and Pam Meagher. Along this road, we have had many addtional supporting members, Saijo George, Harry Sanders and James Polidoras. SEO Collective today has blossomed into a vibrant hub for SEO enthusiasts to share ideas, discuss strategies, and establish chapters in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. We honour their contribution with lifetime membership.
